The Seattle Vanderbilt Chapter hosted the 4th annual Ultimate Race Sip & Sup. More than 30 Vanderbilt alumni and friends came together for the evening and raised over $2100 for Team William. Many thanks to Kate Piacenti King & Jake King for opening up their home for the evening.

Another $17.5K is needed this Spring in order to raise enough funds to create a Team William Discovery Grant. Such a grant would fund ongoing research and strengthen the quality of instruction provided for children with Down syndrome at the VKC Reading Clinic.

Thank you for your continued support of Team William. We have raised over 17K in the past few months and have exceeded $163,000.00 in total contributions. 2011 has proven to be a strong fundraising year. Thanks to your support, we are closer to achieving a Team William Discovery Grant.

Our goal is to raise 35K this year to create a Team William Discovery Grant. This broadens Team William’s impact beyond the scope of reading scholarships. It would fund a team of researchers annually in an effort to improve the instruction we are providing to children with Down syndrome.

Thanks to the support of family & friends, we have now raised over $145,000.00 approaching the 2011 fundraising year. Many thanks to everyone for their support.
